Homemade Prosciutto Bread
The most delicious Italian tradition <3
One of my favorite purchases when going into any Italian market has to be none other than a beautiful loaf of prosciutto bread. When I see one, it literally MUST come home with me ! Especially warmed up, its hands down one of the most enjoyable breads to eat just on its own. I had never attempted to make it myself before—shocking I know. Now that I’m really thinking about it, it is a little crazy that no-one in the family ever had a recipe (at least that I know of) to be passed down. Oh well, now we have one ! Inspired from “Little Italy” by David Ruggerio.
This is genuinely one of the easiest breads to make, as it forms in a stand mixer and it only requires 30 minutes of rise time. Its a perfect side dish to throw together first, then as its rising prep the rest of your meal. By the time she comes out of the oven, you’ll have a lovely warm loaf of prosciutto bread to enjoy on the side of your meal ! Please give it a try and let me know what you think :)
